12 months, 124 communities, over 7,400 stories, almost 200,000 votes, 10 Viewers’ Choice finalists... but only 3 GamesTown2010 winners. People all over BC shared their stories, showcased their healthy living and Winter Games spirit, and cast their votes. From the Top 10 Finalists, our Celebrity Judging Panel stepped up to the challenge and selected the Grand Prize Winners: three passionate communities that embody the spirit of GamesTown 2010.

Princeton Whole Lotta Spirit Goin' Round From early on, Princeton started shining, not only by the number of their entries, but by the heart and creativity that went into so many individual and collective stories of achievement and motivation. From school kids and hockey players, to fire fighters and community volunteers, every corner of Princeton proved why they are GamesTown 2010. Kudos to an extraordinary team

Mission accomplished! The GamesTown 2010 organizers wish to recognize the enormous dedication shown by our panel of Celebrity Judges. Nancy Greene Raine, Steve Podborski, Simon Whitfield, Dr. Art Hister, and Dr. Rhonda Low all gave 110% in reviewing the Top 10 Finalists and selecting the three GamesTown 2010 winners. It certainly was a tough decision, but this team was up to the challenge. We’ve compiled some of the judges’ comments regarding the finalists in our judges chamber.

131 schools all across BC harnessed the interest and enthusiasm our students feel with the 2010 Winter Games being held right here, in our province. It’s now time to recognize those schools that participated in the many unique 2010 Winter Games educational programs and demonstrated exceptional spirit throughout the road to 2010.
