Let it snow!
Date: Dec 4, 2009
Entry: Quesnel's agreeable climate makes for a very active, healthy lifestyle and makes it naturally so great in the spring, summer and fall... with fishing, camping, hiking, boating, four wheeling, mountain climbing, biking, walking the River Front Trail, gold panning, gardening, horseback riding, rodeos, baseball, soccer, lawn bowling, tennis, stock car racing, motocross, mudboggin', rockhounding, mowing the lawn and even girl watching... but in the winter, when the weather isn't so great for all that spring, summer and fall stuff, we can easily forget that we have three feet of snow and it's forty below because now we have downhill skiing, dog sledding, ice fishing, skating, walking the River Front Trail, XC skiing, toboganning (sp?), snowball fights, building snowmen... and what I love best... sledding (AKA snowmobiling). Attached are three photos from our frequent trips to the Itcha Mounatins, west of the Gold Pan City. The best thing about Quesnel is that we get to enjoy four very distinct and different seasons... and the best season is winter and the best of winter is sledding (AKA snowmobiling)!!

The "Vault"
Date: Dec 3, 2009
Entry: The Quesnel Millionaires are an integral part of the community and have been so for over 25 years. Since the beginning of their existence they have played in the same arena that was built in the 1950's. Quesnel is in dire need for a new multiplex and rink for this more than deserving team of young men to play in. The building is the oldest in the league and does not compare to the amazing facilities throughout the rest of the league. Quesnel and its community deserve this title more than any other community this size. They are due for something good!

Quesnel has much to offer
Date: Nov 23, 2009
Entry: I moved to Quesnel when I was 6. Growing up I moved around a lot in the 3 western provinces and the States but I always ended up back here. Why? Well, because Quesnel has so much to offer such as skiing within 40 minutes, lake fishing within 10 minutes, swimming, live theatre, small town hospitality and much more. From this small community comes big name athletes in just about every sport. I think Quesnel is deserving of a new sports facility so we can keep sending those future athletes to the sport of their dreams. It all starts in Quesnel and ends up all over the world.
