Can't beat it! Pemberton is where IT is at!
Most families in Pemberton have moved here and are the first generation. Therefore we have the unique ability to create our own families and are lucky enough to find friends to rely on!

hockey in the late afternoon sun at One Mile Lake

Entry: We were hiking around One Mile Lake on the improved trail and enjoying not only the beautiful scenery, but an enthusiastic group of people making the most of the late afternoon sunshine playing hockey! Lots of people were hiking with their kids and dogs and we enjoyed a 'Hello' and cheery 'Merry Christmas' greeting with them!
Most of the frozen lake was in shadow, but 'the game' was at the very northern edge catching the last rays.
A couple of pleasure skaters also ventured out on the late afternoon ice.

Entry: Pemberton has everything for anyone. Walking the many trails surrounding the village. Cross country skiing right from the front door. Friendly people, great local ammenities and attractions. Unique co-existance with wildlife, nature and amazing 360* scenery.

Making our own fun.

Entry: Pemberton is a small town, with a population of only 2,500 people we can't afford may amenities. We work hard to create our own fun, here is - back yard movie night! The gamestown 2010 prize would help us build more amenities for the fun, active, youth in Pemberton.

A community that plays together

Entry: The thing that makes Pemberton special and an amazing place to live, is that everyone plays together, you don't see that often anymore. Its a town full of young families, we don't have many big town amenities, yet the majority of people are healthy, fit and happy. Just look at all of the photos that Pembertonians have submitted, they show our town enjoying life from the diverse to the simplest of pleasures.
