Pulse to the Podium

Entry: On November 7, 2009 Kerrisdale Community Centre will be hosting "Pulse to the Podium," a free community event featuring various outdoor Olympic and Paralympic winter sports that are adapted to be played indoors. We will also host the Vancouver 2010 mascots and offer door prizes, games and crafts.
The Kerrisdale Community Centre Society Board of Directors in partnership with staff are pround to support the Winter 2010 athletes and celebrate the Olympic and Paralympic Winter Games through this event!

Postcards for 2010

Entry: The Kerrisdale Community Centre Society with the support from the City of Vancouver Host a City Happenings program ran a community art project called "Postcards for 2010." Through workshops around the community, Kerrisdale community members were encouraged to create postcards with images and/or written word to celebrate the Vancouver 2010 Games. Our goal was to collect a total of 2010 postcards (which we reached!) and all of the postcards were displayed at a community exhibition held at the Kerrisdale Community Centre June 27-28, 2009.

Kerrisdale Community Centre's Countdown to the 2010 Winter Games!

Entry: Kerrisdale Community Centre's Countdown to the 2010 Winter Games was held February 14, 2009. This event featured the Vancouver 2010 mascots, RBC Olympian Sylvia Kerfoot and many free family activities such as: an indoor curling demo, make your own medal craft, live music, free cake for all, door prizes, face painting and balloon artists. Fun was had by all!
