Love spending time in the pool

Entry: To go to the pool is such fun, especially in the afternoon. I love going to the pool with friends and family.
It can be very fun. There's a hottub(of course),a kitty pool, a lazy river(one of my favorites),the main pool
and....... a tarzanrope! that one is my favorite one.

snomobiling

Entry: I go snomobiling all the time and ride a 250 yamaha bravo short track. which i take to the mountains also. my most recent ride was what we call the "loop" it brings you to 4 lakes and takes about 2.5 hours the lakes r called wilson lake, hidden lake, hellen lake,and summit lake. you can also go up grouse mtn. and to mcquary lake but it takes about 2 hours longer for each.

Entry: With the bread bag in hand off I would go to the infamous Duck Pond to feed the ducks and see the new ducklings. Definately a place that everyone in town knows its name.

Youth Involvement in Sports gives Life Long Love for Physical Activity!

Entry: Competition in sport is always fun and in Houston we have plenty of it! But I think the major benefit of sports taught to children is the life long love of physical activity and fitness it gives. In Houston we can be proud of the healthy community we are building by offering such a wide variety of sports to our youth. They will go on to lead healthy active fullfilling lives!

Pleasant Valley Days -Ranchhand competition

Entry: Of course, rodeo events originate with the age old career of cattle ranching. One of the competitions that is still very popular, because its still very useful, even in our technological age, is the Ranch hand competition. So you've got a herd of cows, and the one you want is in the middle, how are you going to get her out?... the sorting event!!
Also popular, various gymkhana events...

Walking Friends

Entry: Starting in 1997, 3 friends started walking for participation at 7:00am each morning. Since then the group has grown to an average of 8 - 10 friends. They can still be found walking their 5km each morning around Houston. They have also expanded their participation to include swimming and use of the weight room at the Houston Leisure Facility. They also cross country skiing, snow shoeing, and in the summer they hike the surrounding area.

Entry: Houston has had a long history of celebrating the May long weekend with all sorts of interesting events. In 'the old days', there were logger sports, a rodeo and even a parade with a May Queen. These days, the Pleasant Valley Horse Club has been hosting Pleasant Valley Days. And what an event it has become!! Held at our 4 Seasons Park, the weekend long event boasts of chuckwagon races, barrel racing, Li'l Britches Rodeo, not to mention a kick off pancake breakfast, and a baseball tournament!
