Entry: Houston residents are caring and giving. Benefit dances and silent auctions raise incredible amounts of much needed funds for friends who are battling cancer, or have lost their homes to fires or other family tragedies. It makes me proud to live in Houston.

Entry: Rugby started in Houston in the Spring of 2007 and in 3 short years has grown to a club that involves 50 athletes in a school of 230, thus over 20% of the kids in our small school play rugby. In order to play rugby in Houston, our kids had to cover nearly 4000 kilometers in order to play their games but it was well worth it. As the picture shows, playing in the snow is far from ususual too. This type of dedication to sports is the norm in Houston. We are GAMESTOWN!

Entry: My son loves hockey. He was skating just after he began to walk. He dressed up as a hockey player for his second halloween. He is hoping to make in big in hockey. Houston has provided a great start for his "Olympic" career.

Wildlife aplenty

Entry: There are deer, black bear, coyote, lynx etc. in this area. Here's a pic of a cub up a tree; his twin was up another, and older sibling up yet a third trunk while momma stood guard at the bases, keeping a watchful eye on me.
